I was in the band at the original Huntington High from 1971-1974. Rich was the drum major my first year.....

I knew he was around town and in the radio industry but I didn't see him and talk to him in person until at a Marshall BB game a few years ago.

Ask him to twirl his baton for you...

This might warrant a new thread, but:

It's interesting they chose to showcase Rocky & Rod in the article when they were #2 in the morning while the Dawg is #1 middays and afternoons..

Know It All posted:

Heres the afternoon numbers:

#1 WKEE 11.6
#2 WDGG 10.9
#3 WTCR 9.8
#4 WBVB 7.5
#5 WAMX 5.9
#6 WMGA 5.0

Wouldn't this mean KEE is #1 in the afternoons? Doesn't Gary Miller deserve some credit here?

I've seen a lot about Jesse and Chuck leaving WTCR, and the talent change's effect on the DAWG. Why doesn't someone snatch up Gary? Looks like a logical move to me. Magic and B97 come to mind...maybe even more talent for the DAWG.

My personal kudos to Gary "Music". He is uptempo, gets better with age, and seems to be keeping KEE on the map. I would hope they would recognize that at Clear Channel. (editied because of misspelling)

Oh, and herdgirl? If you are Rocky, YOU are wildly talented and a fox. Rod has pipes, but little personality. You are the energy on that show.

Kiss ass newbie. I'm Rocky's pool boy and that's how it's gonna stay. It took 2 long years of Cameron being outta town for me to land that gig an I ain't giving it up easily.

Apparently no one agrees with me about Gary, but everyone agrees about Rocky. OK.

I still think he deserves congrats on keeping KEE out of the dumpster.

Well, maybe not, but for getting #1 afternoon numbers. There may be some luck involved, but a whole lot of talent. Congrats, "Music"...too bad they overlooked you when they called the Dawg #1 in afternoons.

No offense to the beautiful Rocky.

Yes, he does.

Gary is a timeless classic. He sounds as good today as he did in the 1970s.

What in the hell numbers did you run?

I ran Persons 12+ M-F 10a-3p (Both TSA and Metro)
and got:
Metro:
WDGG 12.3
WKEE 10.1
WTCR 9.7'

TSA:
WDGG 8.1
WTCR 6.4
WKEE 5.8

Did someone hire Goebbels?

I even changed the specs to hour-by-hour totals and couldn't get those numbers.

The closest I can duplicate those results is with Women 75+

Tell us what acrobatics you used to arrive at those numbers (demos, dayparts, service area, and survey.)

M-F 3p-7p P12+ TSA:
WDGG 7.6
WKEE 7.2
WTCR 6.4

M-F 3p-7p P12+ Metro:
WKEE 11.6
WDGG 10.9
WTCR 9.8

...and then the salespeople like:
M-F 3p-7p P25-54 Metro:
WDGG 13.6
WTCR 10.1
WKEE 9.7

M-F 3p-7p P25-54 TSA:
WDGG 7.4
WKEE 6.5
WAMX 5.8

...so I think Eric needs some props too.

You answered your own question, Cameron. 12+ #1 isn't bad. I didn't create the numbers posted---Know It All did. Gary works afternoon drive, not midday.

Neither is #3...agreed, props to AMX. Yeah, take away the 12-24s from KEE, and I'm sure they're no longer #1.
