...might be that 45 of "Stayin' Alive".

When 48+ VDC couldn't effictively convey that the hotline was ringing...good ol 120V - 100 watt red bulb would do the trick.
(Looked liked the submarine was on full-alert with the lights off.)

Ampro consoles were sometimes re-branded and sold as RCA consoles.
They were still shitty.
An example of an RCA/Ampro console is on display at the Radio Museum in Huntington.

At one time, AM 930 had that console in their main control room. I spent a number of years twisting those dials and pushing those buttons. Is it still there? Cameron's observation about the big 120 V red lightbulb connected to the bat phone was also a WGNT staple back in the day.
