No? He changed his first name to "Ground". He'll be quite useful for this project.

Yup! That's the one.
And the sooner you guys get that tower up the better. Its been collecting dust FOREVER!!
Now, if I could do something about the 24 foot sand pit in the backyard...I'd be THRILLED!!

Re: Vanity, Vanity.
I dunno what scares me the most...
1) That shirt
or
2) That Ampro AC-8 console
...might be that 45 of "Stayin' Alive".
When 48+ VDC couldn't effictively convey that the hotline was ringing...good ol 120V - 100 watt red bulb would do the trick.
(Looked liked the submarine was on full-alert with the lights off.)

Re: Vanity, Vanity.
Ampro consoles were sometimes re-branded and sold as RCA consoles.
They were still shitty.
An example of an RCA/Ampro console is on display at the Radio Museum in Huntington.

Re: Vanity, Vanity.
At one time, AM 930 had that console in their main control room. I spent a number of years twisting those dials and pushing those buttons. Is it still there? Cameron's observation about the big 120 V red lightbulb connected to the bat phone was also a WGNT staple back in the day.
By the way, the pic ain't of me. Just FYI.
