FCC Drops FM Translators-For-AM Stations Item From Agenda
The FCC deleted consideration of the rule change that would formally allow FM translators to be used to rebroadcast AM stations from yesterday's open meeting agenda late THURSDAY, and the item does not appear on the tentative agenda for OCTOBER 15th's open meeting, also released THURSDAY.

The agenda for OCTOBER does not carry any radio items. Presently, FM translators are being approved for AM station rebroadcasts on an individual basis using Special Temporary Authority.
