Cable Box Died

Post by genlock »

Suddenlink Cable box died and I hooked digital TV up straight to cable.
Found all the analog channels up to near channel 100 but some digital channels show up too.
88.1 Barker ad channel
89.1 WCHS HD
89.3 WOWK HD
90.1 WVAH HD
90.3 WSAZ HD
87.5 WVPTV HD
108,10
108.11
108.25
108.27
108.95 on demand order channel
110.60
110.62
110.64
110.67
111.73
111.75
111.77
111.84
The channels (streams) with no title added are not able to be decoded or not authorized.
I assume that these channels would correspond to the HD HBO and other premium channels on the system.
These digital channels could be decoded and mapped to any channel in the cable box.
This may be an interesting way to preview channels on your cable system prior to official launch.
Or a good way to waste time.
I even took the time to label each channel properly.

I used to use a PC card QAM tuner to watch and record HD locals when I had cable. I could get about the same selection as you. For a couple weeks I could get ESPN HD in the clear as well as Discovery HD and TNT HD for a couple years until wonderful Time Warner started scrambling those channels.

I now have satellite so the card is sort of moot, although it can also get 8VSB for off-air reception.
