Gang,
We're going to be streaming our HS Football broadcasts, and i need a little info about hardware/software to mute the local commercials.....basically, how the heck can we do that? I've a board-op running the game live. Software out there? Engineering tricks? Yeah, I know, progress comes slowly to the Greenbrier Valley...but we're trying!
All help's appreciated!!!

America is at that awkward stage.
It is too late to work within the system,
but too early to shoot the bastards.

Re: Streaming help?
If you have a control board that can run the same programing simultaneously on program and audition, just set up your streaming to run off audition--then don't feed the spots down audition.

Sounds like the RCA BC-7 console would be perfect for this, running in parallel operation.Tom Taggart wrote:If you have a control board that can run the same programing simultaneously on program and audition, just set up your streaming to run off audition--then don't feed the spots down audition.
They have one at the radio museum.

We already have a museum here, Bartholomew. Unfortunately, we're still using most of it...thanks, tho.
Thanks, Tom T!

Re: Streaming help?
Not to go too far off topic, but what are the rules regarding commercials on streaming audio? I thought you only had to mute out commercials that used union voice actors. Would there be royalty issues with music, even if it was generic beds from a production library?
