A media newsletter (rickgevers.com) says Scott Saxton is leaving WSAZ for the ND job at WECT in Wilmington. While WECT is a dominant NBC affiliate, Wilmington is market 132. Quality of life move or trouble in paradise?
WSAZ-TV, Huntington, WV...SCOTT SAXTON announced today he's leaving this NBC affiliate
to become ND for Raycom's WECT-TV in Wilmington, NC (more on that below.)
Scott's been the ND here since 2006 when he was promoted from Assistant ND.
WSAZ is owned by Gray Television.

Manager at WECT is Gary McNair, formerly of WBOY-TV.
