Nunley is very smart, a genius maybe.
That is what Jay told me.

I wonder if you get ideas like this from the book on outrageous radio promotions, available for $29.95 from NAB press.

At 9:34 tonight, Bruce Williams read the AP story on his nationally syndicated radio show...and made sure he mentioned Jay Nunley....he even read the station's URL address...and then he commented...

Including this, which I have barely paraphrased.. "I wonder how they are going to define a relatively uncomplicated divorce and what happens if midway in it turns into something other than a relatively uncomplicated divorce..."

"Anything for a little publicity I guess"

What's funny to me is that Fox 8 talked about it this morning...

"A Charleston, SC radio station is giving away a divorce..."

no kidding...

Glad to know it came together well, Jay...we've all been talking about it today...how cool!

Every TV news story about radio, in which they record in-studio, has to have that obligatory close-up of the VU level meters. In the WSAZ video, the levels are clearly low at -3db. Crank dat!

LOL! And remember the days when newspapers would have a radio-related story, and the jock always had to have his headphones around his neck and one hand on the turntable? Extra points if the headline was "DJ IN A SPIN".

"turntable". *sssigh* I've been doing this way too long.

Sorry dude... you got a lot of run with this stunt but it would have been better if they got divorced with the Michigan Fight Song in the background.

I'm just sayin'.

Nunley on the local NBC affiliate this morning. Looks like you cleaned up before the interview. Can't hide the ugly though.
Great job.
