WE HAVE A DATE! Via WOWK-TV Facebook page, April 13 will be the first HD broadcast. Photos indicate that the set is exactly the same.

This is the same station that used to have the Lucky 13 promotions on Friday the 13th during the 80's.

Just so the do not pay the staff in Main Kwong meal tickets.
They have been running a lot of Elkview ponderosa spots, wonder if that is a trade-out?

WOWK-TV is in glorious 4:3 format, albeit with some combination of squashed and stretched pictures.
Same crappy set. Something didn't meet deadline.

I even woke up at 4:30am, recorded every newscast to patiently see the arrival of WOWK HD. Must still have some technical kinks to work through at World Headquarters.
