Very cool - awakening more long dormant brain cells.
If I remember correctly WSAZ carried the Banana Splits show and then later played some of the skits or segments during Mr. Cartoon's show.
I always wanted one of those 6-wheeled vehicles.
Also, seeing that drummer being pelted with inflated bananas in the cover version video made me think of the Monty Python skit 'How to Protect Yourself Against Fresh Fruit'...
