WASHINGTON — With CD sales tumbling, record companies and musicians are looking at a new potential pot of money: royalties from broadcast radio stations.
So where the hell were those BMI/ASCAP checks going?

Let the "Artists" go for it! Then we'll only play songs sang by their writers. Not a bad idea. Not bad at all. Naw....let's just all go talk only!
Better still....lets just play Mexican music! We can swap the royalties for illegals we hire at the station! Brilliant!! (and politically correct too)
Don't forget the 'Pickers and Grinners', they'll wanna cut too.

That's a damn good idea. It'll kill CHR, Country, and AC. In fact, the only things that will be left are Rock, Talk, and a few Rhythmic stations.lastone wrote:Let the "Artists" go for it! Then we'll only play songs sang by their writers.
