American Idol Finale'

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Dude.
Mocking me is fine. That girl just melts me.
I hardly ever get a chance to mock you. I have to take what I can get (kind of like my sex life).

Clarkson’s new album, "My December," is causing more trouble than anyone could have guessed.

"Never Again" is ok, but it doesn't have the same feel as her previous material. I can see why it was left off of "Breakaway". It does sound pretty whiny, come to think of it...

There is a formula for hits. I know it when I hear it in a song, but I can't say what it is. "Never Again" doesn't come anywhere close to "Since You've Been Gone", and "Behind These Hazel Eyes", which is my personal favorite Kelly song.

V1, C, V2, C, Br, C, C
Major chords and harmony.....

That's about it! :)

I hate angst in songs. The "Alanis" ilk was credited with the birth of Modern AC...I also credit it with the format's death. A format that is inherently depressing cannot last, just as a Kelly Clarkson re-pushing this kind of music cannot last.

Kelly's evidently made a significant mistake in her personal life which has turned into a significant mistake in her professional life. This would be very interesting to revisit with her in five, ten, and fifteen years.
"I don't know the same things you don't know."

"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"

"Yeeee...it looks like a 'Belt Buckle & Ball Cap' convention in here......"
