WV Waitress Sings National Anthem To Diner Daily

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Post by Arp2 »

...singing along with a radio station, which apparently gets played at a very listenable level.....

"I don't know the same things you don't know."

"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"

"Yeeee...it looks like a 'Belt Buckle & Ball Cap' convention in here......"

I'm sure there are plenty of people who like that, but if it monkeyed with my service or my ability to have a conversation, it would be extremely irritating.

Who wouldn't throw up after hearing that wretched song? An old drinking tune (not even written with respect to anything that has to do with this country...other than over-consumption of alcohol) with a melody that's difficult to sing for most of the population that it supposedly represents.

Isn't it time that the US National Anthem be given a makeover? What about something like "America the Beautiful" or even something new? Commission the nation's best to compose something. It would almost have to be an improvement.
