Kanawha County gambling re re count gains 4 votes.

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Kanawha County gambling re re count gains 4 votes.

Only four votes were added to the "Nos" on the ballot re-re-count.

At "around" $1,125 per vote (cost for the re re count).. I doubt the "No" side can afford any more counts.

I am just wondering how many of the Mom and Pop stores with the video gaming machine in the corner are owned by the supposed christian conservatives.

This complex will be aimed at a completely different clientale than the scratch-off lottery and corner parlors.

Most of the people that will be coming here have the money to spend and want to spend it.

If the anti-gambling crowd had a handful of Fortune 500 companies lined up to bring good jobs to WV, then maybe things would've been different... But I don't exactly see any of these big companies banging down our door to set up shop here, either. Now is not the time to pick and choose.

We can't have it both ways... Either the state has to pick an economic angle and run with it to bring good jobs and (non-coal related) industry here, or we can continue to be a welfare recipient utopia always on the verge of economic collaspe.

Anyway, I'm glad this is finally coming to an end.

I'm sure he could afford more than that.
