All the public defenders for the "dirty six" keep recusing themselves, since the law states that if you have defended someone in the past you cannot be their court-ordered attorney when new charges are brought against them. They can't find an attorney in the area who hasn't defended any of these inbreds in the past. Nice.

Earlier today the NAACP had a rally at a nearby church. A friend of my was one of the deputies asked to hold the peace there. There was a rumor the people in attendance may proceed to downtown Logan. With their average age being about 93 most of them would be lucky to make it across the street,according to my friend.

The best you could hope for would be a change of venue to Huntington or Beckley. That is, unless someone sees this as a tourist bonanza with all the reporters and such. How many public defenders does Logan County have?

CHARLESTON -- Megan Williams went into the trailer home in Logan County where police say she was raped, beaten and tortured on Aug. 2, according to court testimony heard on Tuesday.

Bobby Ray Brewster, 24, one of the six suspects in the case, got out of jail on Aug. 2 on charges he hit and threatened Williams, according to testimony from a Logan County sheriff's deputy.

Police originally said she had been held against her will in a Big Creek residence for a week. On Tuesday, they said she had been at the trailer for a least a month.

I wonder if her momma and daddy even wondered where she was all that time. They are certainly upset now, because the six perps are scum and have nothing to be sued out of.

Sounds like the FEDS figured this one out well ahead of the locals. Thus their early departure.

Expecting to hear about heavy drug usage with this bunch.

As Genlock said, moving the trial location will likely have to happen now.

This case just pisses me off the more and more I think about it...

Guess WCHS/FOX gets the gold star for this one. I suppose it pays to be married to the magistrate. In the meantime the interesting part becomes how do you cover this? Obviously the girl has quite a record, however does this make it any less of a crime (the things that were done to her)?

If her criminal activities caused her to be in the home of the Brewsters, or had prior criminal activities with the Brewsters or the other scum.
The Victim may have had activity like this in the past or was part of an S&M cult. Sorry, I am watching Law and Order on TNT (In HiDef).
