Are you smarter than a 16th grader?

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Can you answer these American History questions? Many college students can not. The Intercollegiate Studies Institute says in a nationwide test, college freshman averaged 50.4% and seniors were not much better at 54.2%. If those scores translated into grades, most students would get big fat F's.

No time limit, but it's rather difficult.

If you're dumb like me.

49, but I cheated once (The War Of 1812...I thought -- and still say -- none of the answers are correct) and disagree with one of the ones I missed.

...which puts me at 49. Or 48. Or 50. Or 47.

39 out of 60 correctly — 65.00 %

That sucks but those questions were hard. I have always debated the usefulness of history in general. I have always taken the approach that history is for entertainment purposes only and it isn't very entertaining.

I got 25 right. I find it more important to know that "5" was a Peanuts character whose father named him such as a protest to the Social Security numbering system and that Tony Oliva hit .323 in 1964.

No, really.

There were still about three more questions I would've got right if I would've comprehended the question more accurately instead of blowing through it.

Multiple choice isn't my strong suit...

Those are some tough questions, but some of them should be critical knowledge for every American.

48/60 Thought too much about a couple of questions instead of following my instinct.
