Find Your Spot

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Really?
Oh, yeah. Although it, along with all of Iowa, has seen some aging of the populace, that's changing as Des Moines (along with a similar Boise) heads in the direction of being a near-future tech boomtown.

careful arp, it's a dangerous place to be around food.
The other day in Des Moines, Iowa, a guy was arrested
after he hit his wife in the back of the head with an onion. It was
earlier this month, also in Des Moines, that a guy was charged with
attacking his father with a bag of Cheetos

If you're getting Vermont or Western Massachusetts (Northampton, Springfield, Pittsfield, Williamstown), you must like the cold, you are liberal, and like the arts.

What's wrong with DesMoines? I spent a year there programming a country station. I had a blast. That was the year the Iowa Barnstormers Arena Football team won the championship with Kurt Warner at QB. Our AM station was the flagship.

When I did mine, 80% were North Carolina/Virginia area with a few Midwesterns thrown in for good measure.

What's funny is that 5 of my "perfect" places are in liberal California. But yet my third place was uber-conservative Tulsa, Oklahoma. I seriously doubt that I would be happy anywhere in OK, much less Tulsa.

I was neutral on whether the government/culture is liberal or conservative.

Also, I hate it when it's really cold, but I also hate humidity. I don't mind dry heat.

There wasn't anywhere in WV that was on my list, so I guess I'm in the wrong place.
