DID I MISS THE THREAD ABOUT...?

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Do you realize that WVU is winless in their conference?
Marshall is unbeaten and un-scored upon in their conference.

I'm sorry, this may not be the thing to say as a Mountaineer affiliate, but I wasn't terribly upset that they lost. I have no problem with WVU, I do have a problem with a majority of their fans, though. This talk of a national championship was WAAAAAAAY premature. The Mountaineers will never win a national championship in football. Its not their fault, its just the way the system is. National titles are reserved for schools like USC, Florida, LSU, etc...schools with a lot more national exposure. Now that they have the loss maybe we can put out the couch fires and get on with the season.

I dont know what the hell Marshall fans are talking about. You got beat by a 1-AA school. Then again who really cares what Marshall fans think. A WVU fans heartbreak season is a Marshall fans best season ever. WVU simply got out hustled by USF. WVU beat the hell out of ECU.....mark my words Marshall will get the crap kicked out of them by the same team. MAC and 1-AA championships dont count. Thats like saying you won at a game of jacks or marbles. Marshall says " we play for championships", what the hell are you talking about???

LIke I've said before, the Mountaineers could go .500 in the SEC in their best year. So don't run them down too much.
okay, maybe 4 and 6.

Although I root for WVU at every possible turn, at heart I remain a Buckeye.

Ahem---5-0 for OSU is very nice right now, but I fear it can't last....much like Kentucky's 5-0 start. I think the Wildcats will fade against the best of the SEC, but they will go down swining.

No, what I meant was Aaron's comments. That is typical of most hardcore Mountaineer fans I have met. They are very quick to down everyone else while beating their own chests. Again, I stress not all WVU fans are that way. Why is it that when defending their own teams failures or even successes they feel the need to down everyone else? I'm a Marshall guy. I know they suck this year and probably will for a while. When discussing them, good or bad, I don't feel the need to bash everyone else. Marshall had a hell of a run in the 90's. Those days are long gone. The Mountaineers have a great team now. More power to them. Just once I would like to hear a Mountaineer fan talk about their losses or wins without bringing Marshall or some other team into it.

Just sayin'

What he said. Further...

Marshall fans have class. Period.

WVU fans have no class. Period. They are sore losers and piss-poor sportsmans (if you consider fans of a sport sportsmans).

Not to mention they are arrogant, self-righteous, and swear they are superior to every other team..... just because.

Wow...whether you realize it, you, yourself, have called into question the character of the West Virginia coaches and players.

(And it should be "out-hustled.")

USF is the real deal. Jim Leavitt has done a remarkable thing in Tampa, taking that program from nothing and turning it into a legit BCS conference challenger.

I never thought I'd see USF crack the top ten in the polls, let alone the top five (in the AP.) It was quite something to see Raymond James Stadium sold out for the WVU/USF game.

USF dominated WVU. The game was not nearly as close as the score. Was there any time in the game that USF did not appear totally in control?
