My thing is wireless internet virtually everywhere I go. I want to always be connected.
Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint are in a foot race to see who can provide the best high-speed wireless internet coverage nationwide. Right now, it looks like Sprint's
Xohm WiMax service is the frontrunner. It will be launched in select cities beginning next year.
Of course, I don't expect WV to get any of this technology until it is already obsolete, while everyone else has moved on to the next big thing. But it would be nice to have decent coverage at decent speeds, whether it's with a smart phone or a laptop.
Verizon is supposed to have EV-DO coverage in WV when they turn their network on. I'm actually suprised that it's not on yet...
My contract is up in August, with the "New every two" option in June. I'm waiting to see how their in-state coverage is before I decide whether or not I stay with them.
