This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

Nope....no such thing as a "latest breakthrough in grammar." :x

Every change that is attempted these days -- and the liberals at The New York Times and in Big Edumacation are, in fact, efforting to make a change or two every year -- is a change for the worse. They all make the written and/or spoken word less precise and much harder to understand rather than more precise and easier to understand (which, of course, is the very reason grammar exists in the first place).

The absolute best thing you can do is find a 30+ or even 40+ year-old grammar text or non-NYT style guide, put it in a safe place, and hold onto it for dear life......

Railroads get real touchy about people fooling around one of their wrecks.
It is easier to pick up stuff from a wreck on the interstate.

Do you ever get the feeling that some of these threads go the way of "Pop Up Video"?

Yeah, me neither.

Railroad police have enormous authority stemming from the birth of the railroad industry. They have the authority of US Marshals and more concerning railroad property. You can be arrested for crossing railroad tracks and un-approved points.

Yes, that wood could come in handy to build a few outhouses.
