Naked man found in Marietta bank Saturday

Employees at Settlers Bank in downtown Marietta arrived at work Saturday morning to find a naked man asleep in the building. Marietta Police Capt. Jeff Waite said Robert P. Burgard, 22, of Butler, Pa., had been drinking and walked to the bank thinking it was his apartment.

"He had a little too much to drink, left a bar and walked to the bank," Waite said. "He pulled on a door and it was apparently unlocked. He went in, got undressed in a cubicle and went to sleep. He honestly thought he was at home."

Burgard was charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Officials at Settlers Bank could not be reached for comment early this morning.

At least he was easy to strip search.
