WKKX Wheeling Wv is proving people WRONG!

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Just to put this North / South thing in perspective....

Some years ago in a water quality debate it was stated that "For every gallon taken in at Huntington, three quarts have been used up river".

So one could say we've been takin' their crap for decades!

CNBC hasn't been to Wheeling. CNBC has been to Logan.

Yeah, they actually broadcast live from our studio. I did manage to hide the weed from the camera.

Neither. It's in the DMZ. (demoralized zone)

Was Erin Burnette there? I might still come down and sniff a chair or two if she was.

I didn't catch that; I saw it on a special about something....can't remember what it was about....

It's one of those places that actually straddles state lines, so it's in both!

There's a tiny strip of land in the middle, though.....strange thing -- rather than fighting for that strip for themselves, each state keeps trying to force it on the other. Without success.

It should be noted, though, that all the people who actually work for a living and the retail that's made available to them are on the Ohio side.

Dude.

Seriously.

Are you like 14?

I never knew you Wheelies were so cockstrong and headsure (or is it the other way around?).

I can almost feel the rebellion going on here. There you are, at the local Shake 'N Skate, pimping your pompadour in your black leather jacket, white cotton shirt, ripped jeans and steel toed boots, yelling "HEYYYY!" at some young 13 year old girl riding her bike...the 13 year old ignores you as you prepare for another night in front of the computer masturbating to some old picture of the girl who played Natalie on "The Facts of Life."

I feel as if Wheeling are for those who are too slow for the fast paced action/adventure lifestyle of Huntington, WV, the city that Randy Yohe built...with rock 'n roll.

(I bet the guys in Wheeling also write to Warner Brothers and ask for permission to use song clips for their show intros)

Please Forgive Wheeling...

Post by Maddog »

Crusader1980 isn't even from Wheeling. He is from Steubenville, Ohio and somehow thinks that qualifies him to get on here and flamebait. Steubenville doesn't even belong to a rated radio market so he gets on here to talk about Wheeling. Most of us in Wheeling have nothing against the southern part of the state. We are all West Virginians interested in the radio industry in our state. Please Crusader1980, go post on the Ohio message board if you must, and leave us alone. No one from Wheeling wants you to be our spokesperson.

It was actually MSNBC that did the live stuff from L.A. It was about mine safety after the Aracoma disaster. They were very nice people. The reporter enjoyed her time here. We took her to a couple of cockfights and showed her how to scam the food stamp card system. She said, "Thank God I'm not in Wheeling!"

For you consideration...

If Logan is LA, Martinsburg is DC Metro, Huntington is WV's West Coast and if Ohio and PA won't claim it... wouldn't Wheeling be the "taint" of WV?
