Whither Rollye James?

So what has happened to Rollye James? She used to be on some land based affiliates, not just XM...but in the past two weeks, it appears this is no longer the case.

Anyone know? Her website hints that for now there are only two ways to listen....XM and podcasts/streaming...with news to come later this year.

Did Clear Channel cut her out?

As usual, WVHU's website still shows her program as part of the schedule. Perhaps Mr. Rotten is in charge of the website (or of making sure the satellite switches to her program at 10 Eastern M-F...)?

No news or answers...but I guess we/I shamed them into updating the program schedule on WVHU's website...by removing it!

I thought something might be happening. After the H-D ran that Clear Channel press release about WVHU's talker hosts ranking in the Talkers Magazine Heavy Hundred, I noticed Rollye wasn't in there like she was last year. I looked on their website where they had listed 101-250 and she wasn't there either.

Sure enough, now she's gone - after that list came out.

Looks like somebody knew sumthin'....

I read on another board that Ms. James is going to be XM and web exclusive because her satellite provider was changing and SHE was going to have to personally purchase her AM and FM affiliates new receivers to receive the program. I also read that her advertisers were getting their best results from her satellite listeners.

I miss her...even if I am old sentimental liberal at heart...That woman made a lot of sense...and introduced me to the term Hildebeast...which I still love.

Too bad I am sirius about satellite radio...

Still no Rollye, though.
