Anyone using the new chip in their Broadcast Tools dual satellite contoller??? (The one that is the retrofit for "Max" and "Xdigital" receivers?)
I found a problem with the login syntax controlling the new Westwood One "Max" receivers that requires a wholesale workaround.
It seems IDC didn't realize that the unit "went to sleep" after 45 minutes and the login was sluggish after that period of time.
Don with Broadcast Tools was informed that the unit went offline at 5 minutes but IDC/WW1 didn't communicate the 45 minute thing.
After a 30 minute telephone call with Don - he was determined to see the same issue on his system.
Dammit - podunk WV was right.
Anyone needing the new workaround for the new workaround for the new workaround syntax...PM Me. If you don't change channels on your WW1/CBS rcvrs - congrats - oh to be you. For a cup of java, I'll give you the scoop on the SECOND surprise that would override channel-changes in this unit. What the hell? This is the rollout! Not Beta!
Good GAWD ABC's next!!
