Three Alarm Fire

Post by genlock »

Huntington had a three alarm fire tonight.
Over at 22nd st and 8th avenue.
WSAZ had tower-cam video, not zoomed in tho.
WOWK sitll has nothing, not even a text update.
Anybody know if channel 13's tower-cam works?
Always was low resolution compared to WSAZ cam.
I guess everybody at 13 goes to dinner at 7:30 and would have missed the fire.
Lots of flames, altho teeny-tiny on WSAZ web feed.
At least the market leader had something.

Good thing it was in the city. All the county's firetrucks were tied up in the Barboursville Fall Fest Parade. That damn thing was 2 hours long. 2 FREAKING HOURS of politicians, awana groups, fair queens, and fire trucks.

TWO FREAKING HOURS!

The parade was only two hours? Feh... I've seen and been a part of bigger. Especially back when it was Octoberfest.

Don't hate on the B'ville fun. It's better than anything Huntington can put together.

Virtually all of the time was due to the total gridlock traffic jam created when almost anything
happens in the village of Barboursville. They do this sort of thing several times a year and call it fun.
I have seen a small funeral procession tie up B'ville. The town is not built for anything but normal, light traffic.
