Re: Missing Weather Bunny
In tv the chattiness can get to be bothersome, seems in my experiences so far over my career, seems like the ones that actually give that extra effort to be chatty say the dumbest crap thats not even pertinent to whats going on.
Doesn't MSNBC stand for the Media that Spins the News for Barrack's Cabinet?

Marina starring in Clue: The Musical.
She did a promo/news bit on it on the 5:30 news.
She did a great job as a reporter on the piece.
Great presence, personality and looks.
If someone at WSAZ is upset with this woman
It is envy.
News segment is not on website yet.
Probably soon.

This was taken out of context. What I meant by that statement was that in a live TV newscast and live Talk Radio. You don't have 52 mins of elements in a hours time to keep yourself from getting chatty. I know very well that the programming of these two have many differences.Arp2 wrote:Nick Scott wrote:...in TV, you're on the whole show. TV news is equal to talk radio.![]()

Re: Missing Weather Bunny
Let's get back to what's important here...Nunley and Dave are calling me names, and he who plays with his translator is giving me crap over pitching my music...and Nick's over here getting beat up trying to defend himself on this message board. Ahhh my friend, you'll get used to the constant ball-bashing, such as I...for example, I know I'm neither a cocknocker, nor assbag, douchebag, fuckstick, fuckstain, fuckaroo, or anything else...I'm just glad that Jay, Dave and Cameron remember who I am, even if I may enjoy Hootie and the Blowfish records on occasion, over pitch, and had douche tendencies in my past. And no, Nick, I haven't been fired yet...I'm having the time of my life down here, tearing down Majic 94.1 banners, and making threatening phone calls on Bob's morning show...
So, to wrap this post up, Dave, make sure your Mom brings by my wallet, I left it in my pants last night when I had to come by for business.

While tempted to unleash a thundering stream of mind fucks on Clay I will relent. With all the Entercom layoffs this week, he'll probably be calling me for a gig next week.
All is forgiven Clay. Keep your grubby little fingers off our banners or we'll get the big needle out for your inflatable...not the one you have at home, the work one.

Leave my mother, the dishrag whore, out of this, Clay. BTW, I hope all these fun and games between friends (?) has helped to take some of the heat of the weather bunny, whom I think does a great job on the air. As for the REAL douchebag, the person who works with her and trashed her, get a life.

Re: Missing Weather Bunny
Well for what it's worth, my comments about Entercomm was purely sarcastic. I've got to be honest, I was over here laughing my ass off tho. You'll always have haters. If anyone doesn't like me or my on air abilities, I just say fuck'em. You have to ask yourself, is there one person on this site that is going to make or break Clay JD Walker? Most likely not. I never understood why people in the radio industry like to argue about who's "dick" is bigger. This industry is extremely tiny and it's getting smaller everyday. I'll use a political term, divided we fail, together we can save local radio.Clay JD Walker wrote:Let's get back to what's important here...Nunley and Dave are calling me names, and he who plays with his translator is giving me crap over pitching my music...and Nick's over here getting beat up trying to defend himself on this message board. Plus, who wants that type of animosity? I would hope that if I happen to meet any of you on the street, you would say hi and introduce yourselves. Regardless if you think I am the worst thing to hit the air waves. Make sense?

Re: Missing Weather Bunny
Nick...I know you're being sarcastic, hense the tone of my previous post. I also know that what Jay Dave and Cameron say usually is right...it's that Bob guy that I keep my eye on...because he likes to spend time with his 'family' instead of having colbeer with his buddies...that is, I might add, after I was kind enough to share a free t-shirt with the poor guy...ha!
Here's some food for thought...I don't worry about what other radio people think when it comes to my trade. The only one I worry about is my audience. If we as broadcasters are not meeting their expectations (in whatever mode) then it is pointless. Not whipping out my dick, cause it may take some time to find it, and I have records to pitch.
About the small world thing, it is so very much true...I work with two other Bristol alum, Chuck and Gunner (of Electric and XBQ at one time or another). I didn't realize how great it is to enter a market where you don't think you know anyone, but automatically, even though you never met the two, you already have so much in common that you all feel like family. That really helped me, and I totally understand how important it is to never burn bridges, and be real with everyone. Otherwise, I would have responded to you with some sort of smart-ass reply. You're right...our family gets smaller all of the time. Learning who was or had been deciples of Carolina radio that I've had the pleasure of working for is killer! One day, I'll have to give you the 'six degrees' story to many of the people you and I have worked with or for...it blows my mind.
Nonetheless, thank God that we have jobs...there are so many right now that are being told different. The worst day in radio still beats any day in any other profession. Have fun while you can, and as Nunley beat into my immature head, "Airtime is valuable...make every break count"...of course I omit the 'assbag' comments within that quote for the sake of professionalism...ha!
Lick it,
