Marshall Arts expert and movie and television star, Chuck Norris, will be on the News Talk 800 WVHU's Tom Roten Morning Show Monday, at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 8. Norris has been active in the political arena as of late, endorsing Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee during the 2008 Presidential primary elections. Norris will be on the Tom Roten Show to discuss his new book "Black Belt Patriotism," as well as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, a topic that he has written about in his syndicated column. The Tom Roten Morning Show can be heard from 6 to 9 a.m. Monday-Friday on AM 800 WVHU, AM 1230 WIRO and AM 1600 WZZW. For more information about WVHU visit the Web site http://www.800wvhu.com.

HUNTINGTON — The annual 100.5 WKEE Bridal Extravaganza has been set for 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington.




Considering some of the girls that attend, I am surprised that H-D didn't mis-spell it "Bridle".

Perhaps while they are at it, they can use a lower case a in arts...Giggle.

I'm just curious--- I take it that he's phoning it in?- If so, why does it get any press at all? I mean, if he's actually coming into the studio, that's one thing,
but to just be on the air on a phone-call? Who gives a rat's ass?

Radio shows all over the place have celebs phoning it in every day.

I don't get it, espeically that most times the phone calls that are set up never come becuase of:

A family emergency.
A work emergency.
A feeling of illness.
A feeling of over-sleeping.
A feeling of 'I don't wanna.'


What am I missing here?

A good relationship between the station and newspaper?

Is this supposed to be impressive?

It's Chuck Norris, not the Dali Lama *even though we all know that Chuck Norris could take on the Dali Lama, Osama Bin Laden, and Butrous Butrous Gali all at once and not suffer a scratch.

Hell, that fight would be over in 5 seconds with 3 spinning heel kicks.

Nevertheless. I still don't understand, unless, he's coming on there to unveil that he actually has already done that and chose a Huntington radio station to announce it.

But then you have to ask the question, what the hell did Butrous Butrous Gali do to deserve a head-kick, and why is he hanging around with those other guys anyway?

AH!-------THAT is what we'll find out on the radio interview.

It would not make any difference if it were Norris or
if it were Merle Swinburne of Marion, Iowa.
Rotten just has to sell listeners that the entire show, every day
is not with Tom McCallister, like it normally is.
I suspect focus groups hammer Rotten on his fixation

My informants tell me that Mr. McC is no longer a regular...but a Don from Huntington is...and apparently the gentleman has some sort of mental problem...by his own statement, and found salvation and a state of mental health, all after leaving California. He does not like to interact with the host, and normally just calls, says his piece and silently hangs up, often leaving Mr. Roten to address ...dead air. He also adores Tom Roten, which helps assure him of airtime. Don has sometimes called the NBC Radio show that airs before Tom, but the host there oftentimes hangs up on him.

McCallister must have slinked back into his hole for the next three and a half years. He hasn't shown up on HNN's boards, and he was a sorta-regular before the election (spouting the same crap he did on Roten's show).

Don is a scary character. Creepy.
