If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Religious Broadcasters Fear Fairness Doctrine Return

"We are the CC Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your broadcast stations. We will add your biological and creative distinctiveness to our own. Your broadcast personality will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."

Yeah, this garbage gets dredged up every so often as well as the Internet hoax about some legal case that could ban religious broadcasting.

It's about as valid as when K-Love comes on and says "If we don't get x dollars in pledges in the next hour, your [full power satellite fed drone or translator] station will go off the air!".

No, this one is different....look into it more and check out Canada.
"I don't know the same things you don't know."

"Yes, you do; you just won't admit it!"

"Yeeee...it looks like a 'Belt Buckle & Ball Cap' convention in here......"

Indeed, Australia as well. In Canada, MaClean's magazine was attacked by some kind of civil rights commission for an article they felt attacked gays. In Australia, the state of Victoria sued a minister for defaming Islam. Turns out he was Muslim, and had converted to Christianity. His crime was speaking the truth.

We are unique among nations for having the first amendment protections against the forces of "political correctness," that is, the protected right to speak those thoughts the government wishes to suppress.

I don't support the Fairness Doctrine, but if it ever happens again, I have zero sympathy for them.

Speech is either free, or it's not. I'd rather see it all shut down than this picking and choosing.
