I still wish that Bill Clinton would have launched a radio talk show after he left office. There is much more money to be made elsewhere for presidents once they leave office, but Clinton would have been intriguing in that role IMO.

$100k+ for a one hour speech several times a year, plus hiring a speech writer. Just put on a suit, show up, yak, and leave.

Putting together a radio show is too much like work. Nor does it pay $100k per hour...

Plus, it's been proven time and time again that fame doesn't always translate into good radio.

The speech circuit is very lucrative.

There are many examples of fame not equating to great radio (David Lee Roth and Wakin' Up With Whoopi come to mind). I happen to think that Clinton would have been quite good at it (and I wasn't a Clinton supporter), but why talk for X number of hours a day/week on the radio when you can get megabucks on the speech circuit?

Even better would be him attempting to explain his actions... If his press conferences were any indication, that would be awesome radio...
