CBS is also busy cutting costs. Its chief financial officer, Fredric Reynolds, said the media company plans to cut $220 million in employment costs at its ad- supported businesses in 2009.
Reynolds said the cost reduction would come from job cuts in the company's television, radio and billboard businesses.
