WOWK Dangerous and Desperate

I've kept quiet about this for too long. WOWK has a very bad habit of taking stories from other websites and local TV stations and copying them and reporting them as their own. Not only is it unethical, it's dangerous. If the other station has the wrong information and 13 copies it and airs it, they can also be held liable in a lawsuit. Why don't they try to get the story themselves and verify the information instead of stealing it from somewhere else. Shoddy operations if you ask me.
I KNOW they do this so please don't try to defend them.

its something they all do, its done at the station I work at, we actually call someone about said story before we run with it though..

That has been going on forever in radio, TV, and newspapers. The local radio group and newspaper around here are owned by the same company. Surprisingly, the headlines on radio and in print are often the same.
