Wiki has WXKX 1340 in Clarksburg running a news/talk format now. Did they dump ESPN? When I was in the area they were broadcasting a dead carrier (surprise, surprise). If they did change formats - anyone know the lineup?

Burbach should be ashamed of themselves with what they have done with their Clarksburg stations. Flashback 10 years ago and you would have a semi-live, semi-local hot a/c, an ABC oldies affiliate, a talk station, and an America's Best Music affiliate. Now they're nothing but a repeater for Fairmont, a canned sports/rock mess, an ESPN affiliate that sounds like it's broadcasting through a tin can (when its even on), and another station they have let go dark.

Next to impossible to compete when almost all of the good facilities are owned by WV radio.

Interesting rumor has West Virginia Radio Corp. purchasing the Prettyman stations in the Martinsburg area.
