Steve Z. Animal out at WKLC... again.

Actually I do like beer...a lot. Nunley did screw up the story a bit. I often drink beer OUT of Erin's shoes, but that is another story. Sometimes I drink beer till Nunley starts to look good to me. BTW Jay deserves to have a large ego. He is hung like a mule.

Not sure why I am even responding to this ass-bag's post, but it is a slow day at work so what the hell...

After working with Emma for about 20 years (not the 1 or 2 that Lisa Marie did) I feel I am a little more qualified to speak on the subject of what it was like to work with her. Hell yes, she could crawl under your skin then light a cigarette. But there has never been anyone that loved that shit-hole more than her. She cared for it and the people that worked there like family. (speaking of...there is no estranged daughter...unless he had a sex change operation) And Lynn used that love to his advantage. After I left, she had no time off and was called nights and weekends to come in and fix problem after problem. Last time we spoke, she told me she even missed her time off to watch her tennis matches on TV...the only vacation she could afford. And on that topic... I assure you she DID have raises over the years. Was she (or anyone that worked there) ever paid close to what they deserved??? No. Did she ever stomp her feet and threaten to go elsewhere if she didn't get a raise??? No. Did she get one after I left and there was no-one to fight for her???? Probably not.

Other than the obvious hateful tone of the post regarding Emma, I think she may have gotten a kick out of having that much power over Hell and the Devil. I see her there with her Elvira cut-out, aluminum foil on the windows, chain-smoking, throwing cameras into Hell's fires and dancing to Boogie with Stew.

Reminds me of an Emma story...(sorry to hi-jack your thread, Animal).
Business type caller (most likely updating records type thing) asked Emma her last name. She said she didn't use her last name...just "Emma".

Not too long after that, mail started showing up address to: "Emma do not ask last name".
Classic

Big Media...Emma was officially receptionist..but we all know she ran the place.

I have never heard of a receptionist yielding that much power unless she was the boss's daughter or the boss's wife.

one of the biggest yearly challenges when i worked there was trying to decide which sex toy to get Emma for her birthday!

it started when my client Adam and Eve Naughty But Nice in Ashland started airing spots, and Emma teased about wanting me to work out a trade deal for her. Soon afterward, on her birthday, she unwrapped my gift and found it to be a "french tickler", which she had never seen before! she turned red, but she loved it! and a tradition was born.

I spent years with Emma, and loved every minute with her. Emma would not go out front to smoke without coming to find me so I could join her. Did she take shit from anybody? Hell no, that's the main reason she was so awesome. I still think about her every time I see tennis on TV. Long after I moved on from WKLC, I always made a point to stop in for a visit when I was in town, and Emma was always happy to see me. I may make more money now, but will never have fun like I did with Emma, Jay, Animal, BT, Moe, and the rest of those crazy ass people. We were like a family, and if you didn't know this woman personally, you should keep your dumbass mouth shut and do as Mr. Nunley suggested and go fuck yourself.

I didn't work at the station but I dealt with Emma on many times and can only say that I concur with the esteemed Mssrs. Nunley and Schaffer...Emma was as much a part of FM105 as the music they play.

It took me, a complete outsider, about 5 seconds to realize that it would be much easier to work WITH her than against her.

I may have ultimately won the battle, I was spending cash after all, but I would have completely LOST THE WAR.

and he took advantage of her, as he did with you and many, many others.
He sure did, but many of us took that as part of the package (including the pay scale).

To some she would be nicer, and others, well you should know.
I do know. She was always great to me. She loved WKLC. She spent a lot of time making my job easier. This is probably why I defended her even though she is dead and won’t ever know I did so.

Ditto Jay...on both counts!!!

Informer...I was just talking about you the other day. I was telling someone about how we had "In' names in your honor.
I believe I was the "Instigator" and Emma was the "Infuriator" (if that is a word I have no idea how to spell it)

Hope you are doing well

Wow...as a sideline reporter, I'm gonna take this and turn it into a football quote, especially for the blowouts we've covered the past few years.

Um...on second thought, probably not.
