Big 12: Not so fast, Mr Luck.

WVU learned Tuesday evening the expected announcement to join the Big 12 was being delayed and that Louisville, which would be one of five football schools the Mountaineers would leave behind in the depleted Big East Conference, began to exert pressure on the Big 12 to consider the Cardinals instead of WVU.

The Mountaineers may now have to wait until the Big 12 board meets again Monday to perhaps decide whether the conference will accept WVU or Louisville.

WVU Athletic Director Oliver Luck refused comment Wednesday morning. WVU President Jim Clements could not be reached for comment early Wednesday.

WVU has chosen itself those that do not know anything about winning to maintain/instill a winning tradition.

Just remember the two things concerning the WVU "new regime":
1. There IS dirt.
2. There will be a trainwreck.

Big 12 membership is a disaster waiting to happen...and if WVU "loses" this fight, it will be thanking Mitch down the road. The closest conference member is in....IOWA? As rabid as Mountaineer fans are, who would be stupid enough to follow them that far, and way farther for other conference games?

I think Ollie Luck needs to pay attention to the needs of WVU and its fans instead of his ego. WVU moving to the Big 12 would be a disaster on the level of Marshall University moving to Conference USA in 2005.
