Job Opening

Post by genlock »

VATICAN CITY (AP / NBC) - The Vatican says that Pope Benedict XVI will resign on February 28.

Monday's announcement was a surprise.

The Pope made a statement in Latin during a small canonization event saying he doesn't have the strength anymore.

Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger is 85-yeasr-old and became the 265th Pope in April 2005 after the death Pope John Paul the Second.

This reminds me of a remark Scott Adams (Dilbert) made many years ago.

I saw him speak many years ago as the opening speaker at a Primavera software users conference at Disney World. He said he always wanted a job where he could work from home in his pajamas, so he wanted to be either Pope or a cartoonist....and since he wasn't Catholic.....

Actually he could also be publisher of Playboy....or given the trend in recent years he could be a radio talk show host (as long as there's no in-studio web cam).

And actually, he could be Pope as being Catholic is not a requirement. The College of Cardinals can elect any person on earth as Pope.
I'm preparing my campaign. At least I was raised Catholic.
