Ex-spouses to face each other in Huntington morning drive

Country singer Julie Reeves will be the new morning show host for Kindred's Dawg 93.7 FM beginning next month. Her ex-husband, country comedian Cledus T. Judd has been the morning host (along with longtime hosts Clint McElroy and Judy Eaton) for Clear Channel's WTCR 103.3 FM since November.

HUNTINGTON -- Country music singer Julie Reeves took a break from the stage to start her family, but she's decided to get back into the public arena.

This time, she's trying a little something new -- morning radio.

Kindred Communications announced Tuesday that Reeves -- who had two Top 40 hits in the late 1990s -- will be the host of Julie Reeves Live, which will air from 6 to 9 a.m. daily on 93.7-FM, The Dawg. In that time slot, she'll be facing off with ex-husband Cledus T. Judd, the country music comedian now featured on Clear Channel's WTCR.

It will be a little bit of competition, she admitted, but all in good fun for the sake of their 8-year-old daughter, Caitlyn.

Just had to comment on this. Has the real radio talent pool run completely dry, and now you to go outside of broadcasting just to find a morning show person? I still miss Rocky, but not Rod. With this change, what is going to happen to Chuck and Virginia? Is Julie going to do the show solo?

BTW last I heard Raquel 'Rocky' Ricard is working as a nurse in the Cincinnati area and is doing well and is very happy. I'll probably see her sometime during Marshall's spring football practice (which begins next week) or at the Green-White spring game on April 27.

Yup! I'm a nurse in Cincy working with the old folks but mostly in orthopedic and cardiac
Rehab along with wound care. Meanwhile I'm working on a second bachelors degree at Northern Kentucky University
In nursing. I miss radio every day and often tell my patients "stories from the road". But I truly believe this is what I was meant to do. There is nothing better than making a patient smile when they feel like garbage.
But I still wouldn't trade a minute I had in the biz. All of it. The good and the bad.

Oh and you guys need to step it up! This is where I troll to get my radio info and you all are slacking!
