With Earnhardt Jr moving to Hendrick and all of the bad feelings left behind, I don't see the widow Earnhardt trading number 8 to Hendrick for number 5.
If I were her I would put Kyle Busch in the 8 and hire some other driver for the 3. Maybe a driver the fans could not stand to be in the 3.

The 3 is owned by Richard Childress Racing...not DEI. Childress is rumored to have floated the "if you come work for me, you can drive the 3" while courting Dale Jr.

Think of all the re-branding and sales that will have to be made next year to get the favorite driver and his nember on everything.

All the Jr freaks will have to buy #5 corn flakes gear and the Earnhardt haters will buy the new #8 sponsor and colors. I kinda think it would be funny if the BUSCH brothers drove for Miller and Coors.
