Pizza Rolls

As I sit here after having done a remote at a store (yes some radio people work on Black Friday) that sells everything from fiberoptic Jesus' to lingerie, candles, jewelry and toasters, and drink beer and eat pizza rolls I am left with this question....aren't pizza rolls like the most wonderful food in the world? What's not to love...pizza, processed bread-like crust..damn, I'm in, and have been since a child when my mother placed them on her breasts to ween me off breast feeding (I was 12). Anyway, what are some other foods that are must have in your life, regardless of how shitty they may be for you. My list is as follows.....

potted meat, Andy Capp's Hot Fries, Kroger Brand crunchy peanut butter, link sausage, french onion dip, cheese sticks,...

Cheetos? That's it? Having Logan ties, Gen, I would think you would have to have fondness for Morrison's hot dogs and their onion rings, the BEST in the world.

Little Debbie Swiss Rolls (better than the Hostess Ho Ho).

I hate to say this...but I actually agree with Dave (odd, isn't it)! I miss pizza rolls, peperoni rolls, and those Oliverio peppers. My mom has a secret peperoni roll recipe but yet I can't even find the big long peperioni sticks to put in them (never the sliced pep...that's for wusses).

Last weekend when I was back in Buckhannon, I stocked up on my Oliverio peppers and pickled califlower...I think I'm well supplied until my next venture to the homeland.

But come to think of it, when I lived in Charleston, I couldn't for the life of me find the Oliverios...thank goodness for the Buckhannon Save-A-Lot

Frank Chirico who owns Chirico's Italian Ristorante' in Logan makes his own sausage. Perhaps Clay JD would get excited about a man who makes his own sausage.

Clay needs to come to the Italian Market in Philly and watch the women stuff sausage all day long. Old women and young women in training. Then they stuff peppers with antipasto treats once the sausage is made.

I am trying to diet (again) and then you get me dreaming of great Italian food.

Omar scum and other scum did not eat with the chosen ones at Morrison's.
We traveled up almost to Melville to the Midway to eat. Remember this was the 60's and the only other plase was Green Top.

Melville? Are you sure that wasn't Mecca Drive-In you're thinking of? Mecca is still open by the way and still serving (along with Morrison's and Yesterday's Diner in Logan) a southern West Virginia classic, the cheeseburger on grilled bread. Also, Penny's Drive-In should have been around when you were here, too. It was on the Huntington Road just outside Logan.

Gotta agree with you on the Lone Star jerky, Scott! I don't harbor a particular fondness for jerky, as a rule, but that is some good stuff.
