Whopper in wax OK, but hold the King
The Whopper, Burger King’s signature flame-broiled sandwich, has taken its place alongside such cultural icons as Simon Cowell, Al Roker and Donald Trump.
Last week, Madame Tussaud’s museum on Times Square immortalized in wax a likeness of the Whopper to help celebrate the sandwich’s 50th anniversary, according to the New York Daily News.
The ketchup, mayo, pickle, tomato and onion-bedecked burger is the first food item to be displayed in the museum, where perhaps better-known wax-sculpted buns belong to the likes, and likenesses, of Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton and Jennifer Lopez.

The Whopper sculpture is a thing of beauty — a far more artistically arranged and appealing morsel than the one that arrives on your tray or in your drive-through bag.
