WVU Football Coaching Situation

This is a good place to drop general and weird news, entertainment, and general show prep material that might be interesting to air talent or producers. Hot dog threads ALWAYS welcome.

WVU Football Coaching Situation

Post by genlock »

They are still looking.

Jimbo Fisher of the Florida St Criminoles turned WVU down today.
WVU has named the assistant coach as interim head coach.
I forget his name but he is obviously not the first, second or third choice to lead WVU. I suspect WVU will want to have someone named head coach before the bowl game. That will give the announcers something to dwell on during the ass-whipping from the Sooners.

i may not have an extensive resume, but i'll coach them. i'm sure my 1 year of coaching a semi-pro team in England could get me somewhere in the top 5,000 hopefuls. (ok, maybe top 10,000)

and then Coach Kidd would have plenty to make fun of... i knew living next door to him would come back and bite me in the ass one day :(

(but i guess we both have "dirt" on the other... lol)

Coaching "Footie" in merrie olde England does not count as real football.
Unless you can raise some serious cash from supporters, that is.

actually it was "American" football.

and i retired my "supporters" when i hung up my cleats. ;)
(i played for 2 years. threw out my shoulder in season 1, had off-season surgery. then blew out my knee in season 2, had off season surgery. then decided i still wanted to walk when i was 50, and they made me the head coach)

A must read for WVU fans and OSU fans - "How the Rich Stole Christmas."
