It looks like the owner passed, and the station is being sold as part of the estate. They have an STA on file to be silent for this reason.

If you pull up the application you will find that Steven R. Peters is the fellow who owns WHAW in Weston (980 25 kw day). There is also a connection with the owner of the Glenville FM on 107.7.

WHAW runs a mix of bluegrass and the ABC true oldies and appears to simulcast with 107.7 (I am not that close to be able to monitor it very well) WOTR was religion/gospel, last time I heard it.

The reason the station can't be picked up right now is that the previous owner, Bill Allman, died. Peters has yet to get it up and running.

That being said, let me take some space to say what a profound loss the broadcasting world has suffered with Bill Allman's death. Indeed, the world, itself, shall be a lesser place because he has left us. Bill was one of the finest people that anybody could ever want to know. Honest to a fault, upstanding, blessed with a heart of solid gold and cloaked in integrity, Allman lived a life, both personally and professionally, to which most of us can only begin to aspire. He said what he meant and he meant what he said. Few have had the magic pairing of knowledge and intelligence with which Bill was graced respective to a chosen endeavor. Bill was a man of extraordinary modesty and humility, His life was, truly, one of finest example. I feel honored to have known him personally and professionally for a number of years, and I am blessed that my life is one of many that his enriched.

Rest well, Bill! And, once you're comfortably settled in on the "other side," get together with Marconi and explain to him the way it's really supposed to work!
