I thought some of you might enjoy this site and links to other Brennan owned stations. WVOK Birmingham, WBAM Montgomey were both 50KW daytimers -WFLI Chattanooga and WAPE Jacksonville were 50KW day with 1000W night (pretty worthless night coverage.) They alway bought PAMS - and alot - great promotions -- but never any money on talent. BAM and VOK jocks sounded like (maybe Spencer WV in the 60s/early 70s) FLI and APE were better because they always had stiff competition in their markets. Birmingham had WSGN that always had the ratings in Birmingham. With no talent the Brennan made all the money and had all the national/regional business. As a combo - a cheap rate and coverage of all Alabama and big chunks of MS, TN, FL and both Carolinas.
