I see this same thing every day as people cross the street......



MARMET, W.Va. -- A Marmet woman was killed after being struck by a train Tuesday night, police said.

Angela Dawn Shelbe, 33, was found near the 98th Street and Ohio Avenue crossing by paramedics at about 9:15 p.m, said Detective Chuck Buttrick of the Marmet Police Department.

He said the train's video recording of the event shows Shelbe walking near the left side of the track, heading west and talking on her cell phone. She was about two feet from the track, and it appeared she did not know the train was coming from behind.

"She did not hear it, see or feel it or whatever," Buttrick said.

Seriously...two feet away from the tracks, can't hear a frantically-blowing horn, can't feel the vibrations...wow.
