WKLC Fined $7,000 By FCC

Post by Mr. Jones »

WKLC, INC. has been fined $7,000 by the FCC for a late application for license to cover new facilities and subsequent unauthorized operation of Rock WKLC (ROCK 105)/ST. ALBANS-CHARLESTON, WV.

The station applied for new facilities on JUNE 2nd, 2004 after its tower site was destroyed. The permit was granted with an expiration date of JULY 19th, 2007; the station failed to file a covering license application by then, and nearly four years later, an application for modification of the license was filed, saying that the station had been completed before the permit expired.
