Total Media Group continues its growth in the Ohio Valley with the acquisition of Southern Gospel 1200 WNRJ/95.3 W237ER Huntington WV for $230,000. The deal includes the 6.93 acres of land hosting WNRJ’s tower. Bristol retains Christian Preaching 107.9 WEMM-FM Huntington. A Time Brokerage Agreement took effect on February 1.

After all these years, I'm still curious as to why Bristol (now) owns only one station in Huntington, in formats that are not normally what their company runs. Did I miss something in their strategy here all along?

As long as the preachers keep paying, Bristol has no real interest in changing formats.
