Bill Blake has died

Bill Blake, formerly of WKAZ and WJLS and WXBQ, died earlier this month.

Per his request, his remains will be cremated and scattered among the towers in the field behind the WXBQ studios.

4. SMOKING IN THE PRODUCTION ROOM

While this was heavily frowned upon, I used to smoke (a little bit) in the WTCR/WBVB production room on radio mountain (late 90s). Since Scott, the chief, smoked as well, it wasn't a big deal. Still, everyone except John Bull Durham made an effort to keep the smokes out of the studios.

Whatever happened to John?

Is Scott still the chief?

Very asute observations! Can't ID the cart machine. The board is a mono Gates Producer with 4 inputs. One of the early all solid state consoles. Haven't we all had to sit in that chair at one time or another?
